CANPACK is constructing two state-of-the-art
aluminum beverage can facilities in the United States,
as well as a North American Center of Excellence
demonstrating CANPACK’s R&D and lithographic
capabilities.

WHAT HAS TRIGGERED CANPACK’S INVESTMENT IN THE US?

Our customers are among the largest beverage producers in the world, and to truly be their partner, we need to be here, in the United States. CANPACK is a great company with a phenomenal growth platform and we are absolutely thrilled to be entering the US market where we will be better able to serve our global customers’ beverage can needs. We are making two historic investments, creating good-paying jobs for hundreds, and creating additional revenue for the local community.

WHERE EXACTLY WILL BE THE FIRST PLANT LOCATED?​

The plant is located in Olyphant, PA, which is in Lackawanna County, not far from the City of Scranton.

CANPACK selected this location because it is a region with a highly skilled labor pool known for its uncompromising work ethic and values. The location offers great highway access and a business-friendly environment. The site itself is the perfect size, and we are very excited about the potential this site brings once our facility is constructed and operational. In addition to this, the partnership that we have created along with the warm welcome we received from Governor Wolf, The Governor’s Action Team, Senator John Blake, The Department of Community and Economic Development, Representative Kyle Mullins, The Lackawanna County Commissioners, The Borough of Olyphant and The Mid-Valley School District has been unprecedent. And, finally, our roots are in Pennsylvania, it’s home to our parent company Giorgi Global Holdings, Inc and The Giorgi Companies which is comprised of agricultural and packaging businesses.

WHERE EXACTLY WILL BE THE SECOND PLANT LOCATED?​

The second plant will be located in Muncie, Ind., creating more than 340 new career opportunities by the end of 2023. ​

This location was chosen by CANPACK because of Indiana’s strong economy and very business-friendly environment, along with the warm welcome received from Gov. Holcomb. “Indiana’s economy is increasingly global, and we are excited to welcome yet another international company to the Hoosier state," said Governor Eric J. Holcomb. CANPACK will continue to elevate the reputation of the region as a leader in the manufacturing sector. CANPACK employs nearly 8,000 associates worldwide and will begin hiring for skilled and semi-skilled manufacturing and plant management positions in mid-2022. ​
